OBJECTIVES

  • Explain the benefits of the Adaptive Flipped Classroom on the motivation and learning of college students.
  • Define the main actions of the students who learn best and devise ways to get most of our students to perform these actions.
  • Explain the similarities and differences between different methods of promoting pre-class study and active learning in the classroom in university teaching.
  • Explain the meaning of gamification, differentiate it from the use of games in teaching and how to implement it in their subjects.
  • Incorporate elements of gamification into their subjects to increase motivation and encourage the involvement of our students in their activities.
  • Convince your classmates that the Flipped model will help improve the transmission of content and the development of skills of their students in their subjects.
  • Incorporate backward design methodologies (Understanding by design) and teaching improvement cycles into your teaching design.
  • Construct conceptual questions (concept tests) to assess comprehension and use in class formative assessment strategies such as peer instruction and team based learning.
  • Use ICT tools (Google forms, Socrative, Mentimeter) as technological support resources for the reverse classroom model.
  • Experience the usefulness of interactive video conferencing as a teaching tool in part-time learning environments.
